Homework for Rabbinic Texts:
Keyword Project:
First part – You should develop a scenario that you will write out in paragraph form. This scenario must be detailed and creative (but needs to conform to expected rules of behavior for Heritage students). Be prepared to come with “Tannaitic” sources as well. The scenario must include a משנה and גמרא text. Please highlight the Mishnah and other “Tannaitic” sources.
You must use at least 15 keywords (more key words properly used = extra credit) in developing and structuring your scenario (sugya). You are welcome to make up Rabbis’ names to use in your scenario or use names of teachers/friends/etc.
Due: Friday April 27th You can email me or hand a draft to me by Wed. April 25th.
Second Part – Due to Standardized Testing, this section will be delayed.

Sheet on Biblical Sources for Seder – Due Friday 3/16
Oral Test on Mishnah/Talmud passages (Shabbat texts) Wed. 12/7.
Be prepared to read and translate text from Steinsaltz Talmud handed out. You may write a translation of one word or phrase per line on your copy.
Week Ending 12/2:
Worksheet on Bavli Shabbat 21b due Friday 12/2.
Start preparing for Oral Test on Mishnah/Talmud passages (Sukkot and Shabbat texts) Wed. 12/7. Explanation given Friday during class.
